No Show Skiing Experience Needed
You don’t need to be an expert skier to join the Ski Hawks. Many of our members start with little or no show skiing experience and learn as they go.
To get started, skiers should:
-
Be able to water ski on two skis
-
Be at least 10 years old
Younger skiers (ages 6–9) may participate when a parent joins the team and skis as well.
Our team will help new members learn the skills that make show skiing so exciting—from trios and pyramids to barefooting and jump.
We also need:
-
Boat drivers
-
Spotters
-
Announcers
-
Dock crew
-
Volunteers
There’s a role for everyone on the team, and we can't wait to meet you!
What Is It Like Being on the Team?
Joining the Ski Hawks means being part of a fun, supportive group that shares a love for the water and the excitement of performing together.
Our season runs Memorial Day through Labor Day, with practices held throughout the week as we prepare for our summer shows on Lake Mohawk.
Practice Schedule:
• Tuesday evenings
• Wednesday or Thursday evenings
• Saturday mornings
• Sunday mornings
Practices are relaxed, welcoming, and focused on building skills, learning new acts, and working together as a team. Whether you're learning your first show routine or preparing for a jump run, every practice brings something new.
Many members say their favorite part of the Ski Hawks isn't just the skiing — it's the friendships, teamwork, and unforgettable summer memories.
