Show Skiing Explained
What Is Show Skiing?
Show skiing combines athletic skill, choreography, teamwork, and a little bit of theater to create exciting performances on the water.

Unlike traditional competitive water skiing, show skiing is designed to entertain a crowd. Each performance brings together multiple acts, music, boats, and coordinated timing to create a fast-paced show for spectators on shore and around the lake.

Every Ski Hawks show is the result of hours of practice and teamwork, with skiers, drivers, spotters, announcers, and volunteers all working together to make the show possible.
The Types of Acts You’ll See At Our Shows
A Ski Hawks show is made up of several different types of acts. Each one highlights a different skill and brings something unique to the performance. Below are examples of our most popular acts.
How a Ski Show Comes Together
A successful ski show takes much more than just great skiers.
Behind the scenes, every show involves:

-
Boat drivers
-
Spotters
-
Dock crews
-
Announcers
-
Safety teams
-
Volunteers
Each act is carefully practiced and timed so that everything flows smoothly from one performance to the next.
The result is a high-energy show that keeps the crowd engaged from start to finish.
A Lake Mohawk Tradition
The Lake Mohawk Ski Hawks have been performing on the lake for generations, bringing excitement, teamwork, and community spirit to the water each summer.
Whether you’re watching from the shore or participating on the water, show skiing is a tradition that continues to bring people together.
